I hate flying

I really hate flying these days. It is always one thing or the other. I don't think I have been on a flight that has been on time in years. I am supposed to be going to Dallas today. It was on time, boarded the flight, then waited. About 15 min after our supposed departure time the pilot comes on the intercom telling us that due to severe storms in Dallas we will be delayed or even canceled. He will let us know in 1 1/2 hours. We were able to de-plane so it is slightly better, but an 1 1/2 hours of waiting just to see if the flight is canceled.

What a pain...

Life Recently

I've decided to search for a new job. What a pain in the ass it is. I think I want to go back to school and get my MBA, but my company won't pay for it. Ugh. Also, I think I want to do something new. I know somebody at Microsoft that is helping me and see if there is any openings there that I might be able to do.

Donovan got an internship this summer. Yay! It is with GE Aviation. The only bad thing is that it is located in Yakama. It is about 2 1/2 hours away from Seattle. Oh well. I can't really complain much since I left him when I went to train for my job. I just can't wait until he gets done with school.

One of my co-workers had a birthday party for his son, he turned 1. He is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cute. I can't even believe. Huge brown eyes that are always wide open and look like the are exploring everything and chubby baby cheeks. Another coworker brought his 2 month old daughter as well. It was so cute overload. Donovan wasn't there. Probably good, I think he would have freaked out about the kids and how cute I thought they were. *sigh* Not yet though.

Movie Quiz

Ok, took this from Phoebe. I never post, so I think only Gamaray will get them (and you will probably get most if not all of them)

Here are the rules:

1. Pick 10 of your favorite movies.
2. Go to IMDb and find a quote from each movie (or get them out of your capacious memory).
3. Post them on your blog for everyone to guess.
4. Bold it when someone guesses correctly, and put who guessed it and the movie.
5. Looking them up is cheating, please don’t.

Ready?

1. "PC Load Letter"? What the fuck does that mean? (I’ve actually had a printer tell me that… how sad) *Office Space - Gamaray

2. We're men / Manly men! *Robin Hood Men In Tights - Gamaray

3. Do I look like a cat to you, boy? Am I jumpin' around all nimbly bimbly from tree to tree?

4. Motherfucker! You hit me in the ear! *Fight Club - Gamaray

5. “It smells like moldy ass is what it smells like in here!” “Wait a minute, come to think of it, I did leave some ass in the back.” “You did!” “I did, about a week a ago. I did, it's the ass! It must be the ass!”

6. It's just a flesh wound. *Monty Python, Holy Grail 0 Gamaray

7. Oi! Ten thousand years will give you such a crick in the neck. *Aladdin - Gamaray

8. Hey everybody, I found one! The government actually found someone we're looking for! YEAH, BABY, YEAH!

9. Did Doogie Houser just steal my fucking car? *Harold & Kumar go to White Castle - Gamaray

10. Not the beard!

cirque du soleil

Donovan and I went to the cirque du soleil show Corteo. It was very cool. Those guys are amazing. I would recommend everybody seeing the show. And on my god those guys are ripped.

noisy people

I don't get people who have the need to be noisy for no reason. I'm sitting in the waiting room getting my oil changed and this guy comes in. Groans when he sits down. Sighs, breaths loudly. I don't get it. I want him to shut up.

Blah

I've been sick for the past 3 weeks. That sucks. Apparently I have a mild case of strep throat. The antibiotics I took a couple weeks ago didn't get rid of it completely so now I'm not some new stuff. Sometimes I think it is worse than the strep! After 15 min of taking it I feel woozy and light headed. It makes me so sleepy as well. I literally slept until 3pm yesterday. Ugh. I hate being sick!

It's been a while

I always hear the whiny Stained singer in my head anytime I hear the phrase “It’s been a while.” Oh well. Nothing much has happened lately.

Work has been having its ups and downs. I never really know how I feel about it. I think about trying to find a new job, but then I don’t want to go through the work of creating my resume, looking for jobs, interviewing, etc. I hate that. Things in January were especially frustrating. It took 3 weeks to try and get a document signed from India and it never even happened. There was a project pending on this one document. It is insane.

Donovan bought me alpine skis at REI. He got a good deal on the skis and boots. We went out on Sunday to Mount Baker. It was pretty fun. We had taken lessons in early December, but we took another one to remember everything. I didn’t even fall, but my legs hurt like a biatch afterwards. I think we are going again on Sunday with a couple other friends.

Donovan’s school is going well. He is busy all the time with that and work. In May and June he is going to try and summit Mount Rainer so he has started working out again. He gets up ass early in the morning. I don’t know how he does it some times. He is also looking at an internship this summer. A company was interested and may offer him one, but it could be out of state. That would suck, but it would be good work experience for him.

My grandma is in the hospital so my dad went back to Hong Kong. It is too bad that it took this for him to go back and visit. I don’t think he has been back in at least 10 years. I’m not sure how I feel about her being sick, which makes me feel worse. I feel sad because my dad is sad. I guess that is the problem when you are so far removed from family. I think that is one reason why I want my parents to move near me. I miss them a lot.

I think that is all for now. Hopefully I will start writing more frequently.

I'm Back!

Donovan & I are back from the Honeymoon. I wish I could go back! We had a great time. If anybody goes to Italy, you must stay where were we at in Tuscany. That part was the absolute best part of the trip.

Rome:
We arrived in Rome at like 8am. Oh boy we were tired. Our hotel didn't let us check in until 1pm so we dropped off our bags and started walking around. Rome isn't that big, so we mostly walked around all the time (I got TONS of blisters on my feet.) We spend 3 1/2 days there. Saw most everything, Colosseum, Pantheon, Vatican etc. The city is incredible busy. Lots of cars & scooters on cobblestone roads. There also isn't any order. Unlike here where most of the roads are square, the roads are everywhere. I suggested renting a scooter, but Donovan didn't want to. I think he was afraid we'd get hit by a car. Food was great. Wonderful food there. Pastas & Pizza. I also had gelatto (sp? Italian ice cream) about every day while I was there. Yummy. Our hotel there was good. The room was TEENY. I forgot to take a picture of it, but I guess most hotel rooms there are very small.

Tuscany:
We rented a car from Rome and drove to our hotel in Tuscany. Oh boy. Traffic going out of Rome sucked. Then we got lost going to the hotel! We somehow found our way, but didn't get there until about sunset. We pulled up to the gate and there wasn't anybody working at that time (The people only come during the day and since we arrived late they were gone). There was a family having dinner outside so we flagged them down. They were from Seattle!! Ha ha! They booked the place through the same travel agent. Weird huh? They were nice and let us in the gate and called the people at the hotel and someone came over and gave us the key to our room. This place is gorgeous. So beautiful out there. We took a ton of pictures out there. Our room was more like an apartment. We had a kitchen and was able to cook our own food. While we were there we went to Florence, Pisa, and the Chianti region. We relaxed most of the time. It was great.

Florence / Pisa:
Florence was good. We didn't plan very well. I didn't expect the lines for the Uffizi Gallery & for David to be so long. You almost have to get reserved tickets to get in, or else probably wait 5 hours in line (an I am not kidding). We were able to get tickets to David. That was cool. The statue is HUGE. We didn't get to go into the Gallery. Even after waiting 3 hours in line we moved 15 feet. Pisa was fun. There are only about 4 things to see there really. Which we did.

Venice:
We took a train from Florence to Venice. Donovan didn't have a good time. Not enough air conditioning in the cabin for him. I was OK. It took about 3 hrs to get there. We were completely lost in Venice at first. I guess I didn't know it was ALL canals and no roads. We finally figured out what we were doing and got to our hotel. The hotel was a slight disappointment. Another tiny room, but this one had "air conditioning" but not really. It blew out hot air. We didn't sleep very well out there. Our hotel was just outside of San Marco's Square thought. That was pretty cool. Tons and Tons of people and pigeons. We took a gondola ride (expensive as hell but hey, you have to). We also went to Murano which is a tiny island north of Venice that is famous for its glass blowing. We got to see some of the artists at work. It was pretty cool. I took a video of it. Insanely hot. I don't know how they could do it.

So that was pretty much it. You can go look at the pics as well as the wedding pics at http://picasaweb.google.com/jasmine.s.leung

A funny thing happened to us while we were there. I put this at the end so in case you don't want to hear about Donovan & my sex life you don't have to read. But this is more of a warning. Donovan had got this KY warming massage oil. It was great! Donovan gave me lots of massages, I like it. Anyways, so one time after the massage we had sex. Afterwards I was feeling a warming sensation down there. It was ok, just odd. Like a hot pad. I was telling Donovan about it a couple days later and he was curious and didn't really believe me. So I gave him a "massage" using the oil and he thought I was crazy because he didn't feel anything. After about 10 min. it started to BURN. I was laughing at him so he put some back on me! Oh man, this time it was worse! It really was like it was burning. We both had to hop into the shower and rinse off. It took like 5 min. of soap and water to get it to stop. So lesson learned is even though the bottle may saw safe for intimate areas it is NOT. DO NOT DO THIS. It was hilarious afterwards though :-)

Honeymoon Baby!

Donovan and I bought our tickets to Italy this weekend. Whoohoo! We are leaving straight from Minneapolis on the 9th. 2 weeks in Italy! We are going to stay for 6 or 7 days in this 300 yr old castle in the Tuscan country side.

I can't wait!!

taxes

I know everybody hates taxes, but I really hate them. Why must they punish me for being young, single and childless?? It doesn't help that they take at least 1/4th out of my paycheck for taxes, then I have to pay in $450 to the IRS, THEN I find out they took 33% of my bonus for taxes. That blows...
